Activity 1 - Periodic Table

The number at the top left stands for the atomic number.  This is the number of protons in an atom.
The decimal number is the atomic mass.  It is the weight of the atom. http://www.kidzworld.com/article/2065-what-is-the-periodic-table-of-elements

MG (Magnesium) is the atomic symbol, abrieviation of the element.

The difference between Na (sodium) and K (potassium) is that Potassium's atomic number and mass is larger.  They are both Alkali Metals.
