This is a picture I made of Carbon. The atomic number is 6, so there are 6 protons. The atomic mass is 12 so there are 6 neutrons also. Then there are 6 electrons to balance out the protons. The electrons rotate around the nucleus. I used candy because I think I could use that in the classroom to gain interest. Also the colors help sort what is what.
